When I was in a psychiatric ward there was a girl two beds away from me that used to do this. She’d do it for hours, just sitting there and rocking.
One day, I asked her why she did it.
“Because it takes me away”
“Away from what?”
“This place”

You’re a fucking liar ^ I have been to four different ones and ALL of them. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. made us go to therapy and shit like 5 times a day and we couldn’t be in are rooms too long or they’d make us come out, so she couldn’t have done it for hours straight. Oh and “two beds away from me” no no no. Most of the time (not all of the time) you don’t have a room mate. And if you do it’s one person. Next time you try to lie, at least know what you’re talking about and make them believeable.

You do realize that your experience is limited to the 4 different psychiatric wards that you went to. The ward I went to was part of a national hospital, as it was the only one that treats eating disorders. The most number of beds in a room was 5, and there was only one single room. The system wasn’t good if you were not in the ED treatment program. Many patients were in there because they had attempted suicide, and as they had just come in, had no therapist yet. They were just left to their own devices in the ward. The most I ever saw my therapist was twice a week, and I was locked up in the ward for the rest of the day (if it wasn’t in the treatment program, which only lasted from 11-3).
As you have not been to the ward I was in before, I do not think that you are qualified to make this kind of statement.
